Summary:
Our client is seeking a skilled Project Manager with a background in IT or analysis to lead healthcare-related projects. This role requires strong communication, planning, and leadership abilities to manage multiple projects simultaneously and ensure successful implementation within the Medicaid, Medicare, and/or commercial benefits space.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience as a Project Manager with some IT or analysis background
- General understanding of IT terminology
- Proven ability to manage more than one project at a time
- Experience working in the medicaid, medicare, and/or commercial benefits space (Health Plan or Health insurance experience a plus)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to motivate and collaborate with key stakeholders
- Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and IT principles
- Service deployment or integration/implementation experience with Healthcare or health plan systems and/or applications
- Bachelor’s degree
Responsibilities:
- Plan, initiate, and manage information technology (IT) projects within the healthcare domain
- Act as a liaison between business, project management office (PMO), and technical teams
- Plan project stages, assess business implications, and ensure alignment with overall goals
- Monitor project progress to meet deadlines, quality standards, and budget targets
- Manage team activities for IT-PMO projects while collaborating with the IT PMO for overall project direction
- Oversee all project management details for smaller-scale projects
