Job Overview

 

As a Sr. Data Analyst on the Field Operations Steering team, you'll drive data-backed decisions shaping Target's supply chain strategy. You will analyze key metrics, develop reporting solutions, and deliver actionable insights for our Field Operations Network. This role combines deep data analysis with business process expertise to identify challenges and recommend improvements. You will partner with stakeholders to understand their needs, source relevant data, and create comprehensive reporting solutions that drive business decisions on operations. Responsibilities of the role may change based on business needs.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to Supply Chain problem-solving with a focus on expense and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the GSCL to drive data driven decisions, and influence continuous improvement.
  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights in supply chain performance.
  • Mentor and develop less experienced analysts on the team.
  • Develop impactful visualizations and insights while communicating them to business partners in a clear, compelling manner.
  • Build expertise in Data capabilities and integrate with business partners and other data teams to accelerate the product development lifecycle.

 

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree with 2-5 years of experience in supply chain management, data analytics, or a related field.
  2. Experience gathering and analyzing datasets with various coding languages (python, SQL, R), with an interest in further developing these skills.
  3. Proven to work effectively with little direction, independently taking the lead to identify and pursue the best route forward.
  4. Able to work independently around ambiguous situations and maintain productivity with little supervision.

 

Required Skills:

R and R Shiny Application development experience is a must have.

 

Remote and Hybrid availability

This role offers flexible work arrangements: either Remote or Hybrid (Target's "Flex for Your Day" arrangement). Remote employees work entirely from home or another non-Target location, without an assigned desk at Target facilities, and may visit headquarters up to 4 times annually. Hybrid employees can work either remotely or onsite based on daily role requirements and team needs. All work must be performed within the country of the primary work location unless Target specifies otherwise.
