As an Information Security Architect, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding sensitive data and systems within a high-stakes environment. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive security architectures that align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Architecting Security Solutions: Develop and maintain robust security architectures that address the unique threats and vulnerabilities faced by the organization. This includes designing security controls, implementing security technologies, and establishing security policies and procedures.
- Threat Intelligence & Vulnerability Management: Stay abreast of the latest security threats and vulnerabilities, leveraging threat intelligence sources to identify and mitigate risks. Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to identify and remediate weaknesses in the organization’s systems and applications.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure that security architectures and practices comply with relevant industry standards and regulations, such as NIST, ISO 27001, and other applicable frameworks. Develop and maintain security documentation, policies, and procedures.
- Incident Response & Disaster Recovery: Lead the development and implementation of incident response and disaster recovery plans. Coordinate with relevant teams to investigate and respond to security incidents, minimizing their impact on the organization.
- Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, engineering, operations, and management, to ensure that security is integrated into all aspects of the organization’s operations. Effectively communicate complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Leadership & Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior security team members, fostering their growth and development in the field of information security.
Qualifications
- Extensive Experience: 7+ years of experience in a security architecture role, demonstrating a deep understanding of security principles, practices, and technologies.
- Industry Certifications: Hold relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or similar, showcasing your commitment to professional development and expertise in the field.
- Technical Expertise: Possess a strong technical background with in-depth knowledge of security frameworks, standards, and technologies. This includes experience with network security, cloud security, data security, application security, and identity and access management.
- Strategic Thinking: Demonstrate the ability to think strategically about security risks and challenges, aligning security architectures with the organization’s overall goals and objectives.
- Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills: Possess strong problem-solving and analytical skills, enabling you to identify and address complex security issues effectively.
- Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences. Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in critical infrastructure environments.
- Experience with security automation and orchestration tools.
