0-3 Caregiver Jamestown at Community Action Region VI

Community Action Region VI is seeking a compassionateand dedicated Caregiver to provide quality care for infants andtoddlers in our Jamestown Early Head Start program. The Early HeadStart Caregiver will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing,and stimulating environment that promotes the physical, cognitive,social, and emotional development of young children.

*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:*

* Provide nurturing and responsive care to infantsand toddlers in a group setting.
* Create a safe andstimulating environment that promotes exploration andlearning.
* Create a positive and inclusive classroomenvironment that promotes social, emotional, cognitive, andphysical development of children.
* Observe and documentchildren's growth and development and use this information toinform curriculum and individualized plans.
* Buildpositive relationships with children and families and maintain opencommunication with parents and guardians.
* Maintain aclean and organized classroom environment, including cleaning andsanitizing toys and equipment.
* Ensure that all healthand safety guidelines are followed, including administeringmedication and responding to emergencies.
* Workcollaboratively with all staff to maintain compliance with allprogram regulations.
* Adhere to Community Action Codeof Ethics and Confidentiality policy.
* All other dutiesas assigned.

*QUALIFICATIONS:*

* High school diploma or equivalent.
*Must obtain CDA that the agency will assist with.
*Ability to communicate effectively with young children, parents,and coworkers.
* Dependable and able to workindependently or as part of a team.
* Strongorganizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks andmanage multiple responsibilities.
* Preference given tocandidates with early childhood experience, education, orCDA.

This position is 40 hours per week withfull benefits.
