JOB DESCRIPTION:
POSITION SUMMARY: Food Production - General Assembly - 2nd Shift - Full Time - Amherst, OH 44001
Hours: For 2nd shift, start times vary between 2:30 pm and 3:30 pm and end times vary between 11:00 pm and 12:00 am, with overtime required as needed.
Pay: The position starts at $18.00/hour, includes a shift differential increase for working 2nd shift, and has potential for overtime.
This position is responsible for performing a variety of repetitive assembly and packaging tasks on a high-speed assembly line in a frozen food facility while adhering to various guidelines for safety, food safety, and efficiency.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitor product and equipment for defects or contamination.
- Place frozen and refrigerated food components on a moving assembly line.
- Pack assembled products into cartons or containers for shipment.
- Rotate through various workstations as assigned.
- Follow all safety protocols, including wearing PPE, performing stretches, rotating positions, and maintaining a designated pace.
- Pass safety and food safety tests.
- Adhere to food safety requirements, including handwashing, wearing PPE (hairnets, beard nets, smocks), and following Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
- Must be willing and able to lift 20 lbs. occasionally and hold 5 lbs. regularly.
- Must be willing and able to work in a cold environment (30 -40°F temperatures) for 8-10 hours per day.
- Must be willing and able to walk and stand for 8-10 hours per day.
- Must be willing and able to bend, crouch, and stoop throughout the day.
- Must be willing and able to work with both hands and arms simultaneously throughout the day.
- Must be willing and able to use their hands and fingers to grasp and pull.
- Must be willing and able to perform repetitive motions of the shoulders, arms, and hands with up to 50 repetitions per minute.
