Job Description

JOB TITLE: Accounts Receivable Specialist

REPORTS TO: Controller

POSITION SUMMARY:

ICE is one of America’s leading centers for culinary education and the largest culinary school in New York City and Los Angeles. We are passionate about helping students of all ages and backgrounds pursue their culinary career dreams. We're looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist (Bursar) who’s passionate about our students, the world of food and is excited to contribute to ICE’s overall growth.

Responsibilities:

·         Manage the student accounts receivable life-cycle, including billing, collections, delinquency tracking, and administration of account write-offs.

·         Assist with calculating student refunds and the Department of Veterans Affairs payments

·         Provide customer service to students, families, and agency representatives

·         Coordinate and communicate effectively with other departments (Admissions, Financial Aid, Career Services, Registrar, Student Affairs, etc.)

·         Assist with Annual audits and government reporting

·         Perform regular AR analyses and ad-hoc reports to make data driven recommendations.

Experience and Educational Requirements:

·         Bachelor’s degree preferred

·         2 years of experience in Accounts Receivable/ Bursar/Student Accounts, Financial Aid, or other relevant business background

·         knowledge of higher education principles, practices and procedures as they relate to student account operations is a plus

·         Ability to adjust to changing situations and flexibility in meeting customer needs – a must!
