We are looking for a detail-oriented Part Time Accounting Clerk 20-25 hours a week to join our team in Columbia, South Carolina. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in supporting our property management department with a variety of accounting and administrative tasks. Your contributions will help ensure smooth financial operations and accurate record-keeping within our organization.
Responsibilities:
• Assist with accounts payable processes, including reviewing and processing invoices efficiently.
• Conduct bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records and identify discrepancies.
• Support credit card statement reviews and ensure proper allocations.
• Utilize accounting software, such as Yardi and QuickBooks, to manage financial data effectively.
• Process payments through systems like AvidExchange and ensure timely transactions.
• Provide administrative support to the department, ensuring organized documentation and workflow.
• Collaborate on remedial collections and move-out processes, including in-house collections.
• Handle invoicing tasks with attention to detail, even during light invoicing cycles.
• Maintain confidentiality and accuracy when working with sensitive financial information.
• Utilize strong Excel skills to analyze data and produce reports as needed.
• Proven experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and invoice processing.• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks and Yardi.
• Strong Excel skills, including the ability to create and analyze spreadsheets.
• Familiarity with payment systems like AvidExchange is preferred.
• Ability to handle financial data with a high level of confidentiality.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong technical aptitude and ability to adapt to new software quickly.
• Prior administrative experience within an accounting or property management setting is a plus.
