Accounts Payable Assistant
Location: Hybrid in Phoenix, AZ
Pay: $25-28/hr DOE
Position Overview
The Accounts Payable Assistant will support the accounting department by managing accounts payable processes, ensuring accurate and timely payment of vendor invoices, and maintaining records related to fixed assets and IRS 1099 documentation. This role is essential for maintaining smooth financial operations and compliance within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and manage accounts payable transactions including vendor invoices and payments
- Ensure timely and accurate payment to vendors while adhering to company policies
- Maintain records and documentation for fixed assets and IRS 1099 forms
- Assist in the reconciliation of vendor statements and accounts
- Support the month-end closing process by providing necessary reports and documentation
- Utilize ERP systems, particularly Oracle Fusion, to track and manage accounts payable processes
- Communicate with vendors regarding payment inquiries and discrepancies
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports as needed
Qualifications
- 1+ Years of experience in accounting with some work in AP
- Familiarity with IRS 1099 documentation and compliance
- Experience managing fixed assets accounting
- Proficient in ERP systems, with a preference for Oracle Fusion
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
