About the Role
Are you detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about accuracy? We're seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team and play a key role in ensuring the integrity and efficiency of our financial operations. In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining accurate accounts payable records, processing vendor invoices, and supporting smooth payment operations - all while collaborating with departments across the organization.

What You'll Do

Prepare and edit invoice batches for data entry into the accounts payable system.

Review invoices for proper coding and approval, providing feedback as needed.

Process invoices accurately and on time, ensuring all payment terms are met.

Identify and capture early payment discounts and ensure correct application of use tax.

Maintain organized and up-to-date A/P files and documentation.

Communicate effectively with vendors and internal departments to resolve issues.

Audit expense reports to ensure compliance with company policies.

Support special projects and assist with process improvements.

Monitor and help enforce current policies and procedures within the department.
What You Bring

High school diploma or GED required.

1-2 years of accounts payable or related accounting experience preferred.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Excellent communication and customer service abilities.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).

Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Experience with PeopleSoft or similar ERP systems preferred.
