Our team’s expertise spans general surgery and a wide range of surgical subspecialties, including trauma surgery, gynecologic surgery, neurosurgery, vascular surgery, and orthopedic surgery. You Can Expect:

• Leadership Responsibilities include:
  • Quality Improvement & Dev and implementation of service line policies/procedures
  • Overall coordination medical care in CMG ORs, hospital units, dept caring for surgical patients
  • Participate in admin decisions related to ACS, implementing initiatives, protocols for proficiency clinical pathways, public and staff educational programs
• Vacation: 5.5 weeks
• Schedule: In hospital 12 hr/shifts, 14 shifts/mth
• Practice at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital, Level II Trauma Center with 358 licensed beds
• Dedicated team of 5 acute care surgeons, 11 general surgeons total
• ACS members - 80% bread and butter, 20% Trauma (90% of Trauma is blunt, 10% penetrating)

Required Qualifications

• Completion of medical degree and residency training in an general surgery.
• MD/DO with certification by an American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) board in physician's primary specialty.
• Must be board certified or in the process of certifying.
