Thisprogram/course is approved by the Illinois Department of Public Health andfollows all applicable rules and regulations. We are specifically looking foran Instructor to teach class on Tuesdays/Thursdays from 9:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. Adjunct faculty members are responsible fordelivering curriculum, providing instruction, and performing student learningassessment. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability toeffectively use instructional and classroom technology to enhance teaching andlearning.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with Dean and AssistantDean (if applicable) in providing leadership for the curriculum and programdevelopment, student recruitment and retention, and ensure that studentssuccessfully meet the course objectives and outcomes per IDPH guidelines.
Prepare course syllabi and designlessons, activities, assignments, and assessments to address different learningstyles.
Incorporate learning-centeredprinciples and concepts and motivate students to actively participate in allaspects of the educational experience.
Work collaboratively withprofessional colleagues to serve the needs of students and the community.
Model professionalism with excellentcommunication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Teaching assignments may includedays, evenings and/or weekends – primarily at Aurora Fox Valley. Instructionalmodalities will include in-person learning environments only.
Demonstrate strong organizationalskills and the ability to multitask as well as the ability to engage largegroups of people with complicated material.
Meeting all WCC deadlines forsubmission of attendance, grades and data collection for assessment of studentlearning.
Minimum Requirements:
Candidate must have a high schooldiploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associates Degree or higher ispreferred.
Previous teaching experience at thecollege level or relevant training experience.
Experience teaching traditionally underserved populations.
Experience incorporating technology and multimedia applications into teaching and learning process.
Experience utilizing Learning Management systems.
