Description:

The Department of Music at Hofstra University seeks a dynamic and experienced educator to contribute to our growing program and invites applications for an Adjunct Faculty position in Music Education.
Responsibilities include:

  • Teach Choral Methods for undergraduates (3 hours instruction per week)
  • Supervise student teachers (choral and/or instrumental) in the field (0-3 hours instruction per week)

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Music Education or related field required
  • Demonstrated success in choral music education at the K–12 level
  • Previous collegiate teaching and/or mentorship experience preferred
  • Strong communication, organizational, and mentorship skills
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment and supporting students from diverse backgrounds

Preferred Quals Summary:

  • Terminal degree preferred

Salary/Salary Range:

$1,458-$1,585 per credit hour
