Description:

The Hofstra University School of Health Sciences is pleased to invite applications for Adjunct Faculty positions in the Department of Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Undergraduate teaching of audiology courses including hearing science. Ability to instruct students in the structure and function of the hearing mechanism and the application of principles of physics to the measurement of hearing. Topics include the nature of sound, perception of sound, current theories of audition, frequency, intensity, the decibel scale, pure tones, noise, spectrum, psychoacoustics, binaural hearing, and localization.

Qualifications:

  • M.A., Ph.D. or AuD required.

Preferred Quals Summary:

  • Ph.D. or AuD

$1,458-$1,711 per credit hour
