Job Description:
BHCC is seeking dynamic adjunct faculty to teach in the Visual Media Arts Department beginning Fall Semester.
Available Course:
VMA-133 Typography II | In-person | Fridays, 1:30PM - 5:45PM
In this course students will continue to build on typographic foundation principles, strengthening their skills through projects of moderate complexity. Projects involve information design and design of long-form content for print and digital books, magazines and other publication formats. Students will learn to develop consistent type and navigation systems, and explore the relationship between type and image. There will be an emphasis on working through the design process from sketch, revision, and final presentation. Software used: Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and some Adobe Photoshop.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree and substantial relevant experience in related field required.
- A portfolio of professional work that demonstrates relevant skills (Include link to site if applicable).
- Commitment to advancing equity and access in the classroom.
- Proven ability to work with a diverse faculty, staff and student population.
Preferred Requirements:
- Master's Degree preferred.
- College teaching experience, especially at community college level, preferred.
Additional Information:
Salary: $1,397.00 per credit hour
