Salary:
Classroom Lab and Clinical Instruction $40/hour; Non-instructional $20/hour
Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities (include, but not limited to)In line with the department strategic goals:
Effectively engage students in the learning environment through active learning strategies.
Promote and coordinate professional development opportunities for Fire/EMS instructors to further develop their teaching skill.
- Increase marketing of Fire and EMS training programs and prepare competent Fire/EMS providers for local employers.
NOTE: An equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired will also be considered.
Supplemental InformationThis is a continuous posting. Applications will be reviewed on November 1 and June 1 each year. Teaching demonstrations/interviews will be held shortly after.*Hours for this position will vary from Monday through Sunday including both daytime and evening hours. Adjunct instructors are expected to teach a minimum of 64 hours/semester (24 hours/summer). Instructors request instructional assignments through a scheduling software at the beginning of each semester.
