Position Summary:The Department of Biology at North Central College invites applications for an adjunct faculty position to teach BIOL 317: Animal Behavior during the Spring 2026 semester. This course includes both a lecture and laboratory component and serves as an advanced elective for Biology majors.
- Lecture: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 9:20–10:10 a.m.
- Laboratory: Tuesday, 8:30–11:30 a.m.
- Semester Dates: January 5 – April 24, 2026, with a final exam scheduled between April 27–30.
Candidates should hold at least a master’s degree in biology or a closely related discipline and have prior teaching experience. A Ph.D. or ABD (Ph.D. candidate) is preferred.

Additional Information:The budgeted salary range for this position is $5,520 – $5,980. The pay offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors including (but not limited to) the selected candidate’s experience and qualifications, including equivalent years in rank, training, and field or discipline; internal equity; and external market pay for comparable jobs.
