We are seeking an Administrative Coordinator to provide essential support to our team in Takoma Park, Maryland. This contract position requires 25 hours of work per week and involves a mix of daily administrative tasks and specialized projects. The ideal candidate will work independently while maintaining a strong commitment to accuracy and confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee maintenance and functionality of office equipment, including printers and communal devices.
• Manage office supply inventory and ensure timely replenishment.
• Retrieve and organize incoming mail from the PO box.
• Perform accurate data entry for surveys and other organizational needs.
• Maintain organized filing systems for documents and records.
• Take detailed notes during meetings and assist with scheduling.
• Support the coordination of volunteer activities and ensure proper documentation.
• Communicate effectively with the public, especially volunteers, in a courteous and respectful manner.
• Tackle time-sensitive projects, such as office organization or survey data processing, within established deadlines.• Proficiency in basic data entry and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Demonstrated experience in filing and organizational tasks.
• Ability to work independently while following clear instructions.
• Strong interpersonal skills to engage tactfully with volunteers and colleagues.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
• All candidates are required to complete a screening process.
• Enthusiasm for supporting the mission and values of Meals on Wheels.
