We are looking for a detail-oriented Administrative Coordinator to join our team on a contract basis in Washington, District of Columbia. This position plays a crucial role in supporting the operations of social services programs and ensuring smooth administrative processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and have the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
Responsibilities:
• Welcome and interview clients to assess their eligibility for assistance programs based on established guidelines.
• Assist clients with completing applications for aid, ensuring all required documentation is collected and verified.
• Prepare and process vouchers for food, clothing, and furniture, directing eligible clients to appropriate service locations.
• Manage food pantry operations, including stocking donated items, maintaining inventory records, and distributing food to clients.
• Coordinate financial assistance and transportation support for clients with medical or relocation needs.
• Build relationships with community agencies to obtain additional resources and services for clients.
• Provide information about social services programs, schedule appointments, and address client concerns professionally.
• Support the planning and execution of seasonal events and special projects, such as holiday assistance programs.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with program policies.
• Compile statistical reports on services provided, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.• Proven experience in administrative roles, preferably within social services or healthcare settings.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other office management tools.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with clients and community partners.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Familiarity with basic office equipment and procedures.
• Capacity to manage schedules, appointments, and inventory efficiently.
• Skilled at problem-solving and resolving client concerns in a calm and detail-focused manner.
