Agency Relations Territory Manager for Commercial Insurance
We are looking for a Marketing Representative who wants to join a hands-on, client-focused company. Better yet, there is a strong interest in someone not from a carrier who is ready to become a Marketing Agency Relations Advisor—the qualifier is a background in commercial insurance with sales and/or marketing experience.

You will provide effective sales strategies and marketing support to agents of independent agencies in a set territory. As the Territory Manager, you are responsible for managing the daily business relationship between the company and agents, as well as building and maintaining strong agency relationships.
You must be a true self-starter.
- Must have verifiable commercial P&C industry knowledge.
- Ability to leverage local presence and personal knowledge of agents and brokers to support mutual growth and profit is key.
- You will schedule appointments to visit existing, and where applicable, prospective agents in the assigned territory.
- Responsible for generating call reports summarizing all appointments.
- Travel within the territory, including overnight travel as necessary to accomplish all visits to agents within each segment of the territory.
- Gathers competitive intelligence, analyzing its effect on the territory.
- Acts as liaison between agents, brokers, and underwriters.
- Attends trade shows and social events promoting the company.
- Develops and maintains technical knowledge of all company proprietary systems, procedures, and products.
- Updates sales reports monthly, quarterly, and annually.
- Assists the marketing manager in developing marketing plans for the territory.
- Assists in the development of new products and the redevelopment of existing products and programs.
- Manages agency’s acquisition notifications within the assigned territory, processing all associated documentation in a timely manner.
- Continues to approve knowledge and practices of the industry via industry courses and regular meetings with underwriting staff.
- Distributes approved marketing material. Works with marketing staff to develop targeted marketing campaigns.
Details:
Includes company vehicle, mobile phone, laptop, full benefits, vacation, paid holidays, and sick leave. Business Casual. Starting salary up to $100,000. Territory area is OR, WA, ID, and UT. Will work from home, does include some travel bi-monthly.
