Job Title: AI Engineer Duration: 3-9 Month Contract Location: Coachella, CA Start Date: ASAP Job Description: Our client is seeking an experienced AI Engineer to help build out their artificial intelligence initiatives from the ground up. This role is focused on implementing AI-driven solutions that enhance productivity across multiple sites, in alignment with a corporate directive to leverage AI responsibly and securely. The ideal candidate will have strong engineering or IT experience, hands-on skills with Python, Azure, and OpenAI technologies, and a solid understanding of compliance and security frameworks—particularly within government or regulated environments. Key Responsibilities Lead the design, development, and implementation of AI solutions to improve productivity and operational efficiency. Collaborate with IT, compliance, and business stakeholders to ensure AI initiatives align with security, governance, and ethical frameworks. Build and prototype tools and workflows using Azure AI, OpenAI, and Microsoft Co-Pilot technologies. Work with AI Foundry and similar platforms to test, validate, and deploy proof-of-concept solutions. Evaluate and recommend AI tools and automation opportunities after hands-on learning and testing. Ensure all solutions comply with corporate and regulatory standards, particularly regarding data security and access control. Provide technical leadership, documentation, and support to internal teams as the AI program scales. Required Qualifications Experience outweighs degree. Advanced experience in Python and coding for automation, analytics, or AI workflows. Strong understanding of Azure Cloud Services and OpenAI ecosystem (API integration, GPT, etc.). Experience managing or implementing AI solutions within secure or government-regulated environments. Knowledge of compliance frameworks, data governance, and IT security standards. Ability to work independently, building AI solutions from ground zero to deployment. Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
