Modification Electrician / Avionics Technician – KC-130J
Install and modify aircraft wiring systems: Fabricate, install and route wiring, harnesses, coaxial cables and connectors on KC-130J aircraft.
Read and interpret technical data: Work from wiring diagrams, schematics, blueprints and technical manuals to ensure correct installations.
Perform troubleshooting and repairs: Diagnose and correct faults, carry out continuity/voltage checks and operational tests on electrical and avionics systems.
System integration & testing: Conduct validation and verification of new or modified systems and components.
On- and off-aircraft work: Remove, repair, reinstall or integrate complete electrical/avionics systems during modifications.
Compliance & documentation: Maintain records, follow Military Technical Orders, safety rules, FOD prevention and tool-control programs.
Use of support equipment: Operate test equipment and Ground Support Equipment (GSE) to perform inspections and checks.
Experience required: Minimum 5 years’ aircraft electrical/avionics installation, modification, troubleshooting and repair; C-130 heavy modification experience preferred.
