Job Description
These positions require an associate degree in education, training, instructional methods, or related field and three (3) years of aircraft maintenance experience. Ten (10) years of aircraft maintenance experience may be substituted for the degree requirement. Preferred candidates will have FAA airframe and powerplant certificate and A&P certification. Candidates that do not have FAA airframe and powerplant certificates must be obtain within two (2) years of hire and obtain A&P certification.
Preferred QualificationsPreferred applicants will have two (2) years of teaching experience in post-secondary education. The ideal candidate will have comprehensive knowledge and experience in all aircraft maintenance subjects in a Part 147 college curriculum. Including powerplants, propellers, reciprocating and turbine engine overhaul, supercharger and induction systems, electrical and hydraulic systems, reciprocating and turbine ignition systems, structural assembly, rigging, fuel systems, record management and reporting, interpretation of and compliance with Part 147, instruction and testing students is essential. Candidate must be able to function in an environment characterized by continual changes in information technology.Additional CommentsApplicants MUST complete the online SC State Jobs Employment Application.
