Exciting Opportunity: Anesthesiologist at Salisbury NC VAMC Join our dedicated team at the Salisbury NC VAMC as an Anesthesiologist. We are seeking a highly committed physician to fill this crucial role within our Anesthesiology Department. Position Details Job Title: Anesthesiologist Employment Type: Full-time Salary Range: $360,000 - $378,000 Practice Environment Role: Anesthesia support for Inpatient/Outpatient surgical and GI procedures. Practice Demographics: Inpatient and Outpatient settings Reports to department leadership Work Schedule: 0700 1530, Monday to Friday, with call as detailed below. Call Coverage: Home call approximately 4-6 weeknights per month, 1 weekend home call approximately every 1.5 months. Opportunity Highlights Clinical and Academic Opportunities: Strong emphasis on clinical practice with the potential for involvement in research and academic activities. Teaching or Research Opportunities: Opportunities exist to participate in clinical research and academic activities. Specialized Equipment and Cases: Includes General Surgery, Orthopedics, Gynecology, Urology, ENT, Ophthalmology, Podiatry, Plastics, ECT, GI, and TEE/Cardioversion. Candidate Qualifications Have a full, unrestricted medical license in any State. Degree of Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine. Residency Training must have been completed, approved by the secretary of Veteran Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification. S. Citizenship: non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy. Minimum of 5 years of experience Regional anesthesia experience Board Certified/Eligible Compensation benefits Package Pay : Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases. Paid Time Off: 50 55 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME). Retirement : Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA. Insurance : Federal health/vision/dental/term life/long-term care (many federal insurance programs can be carried into retirement). Licensure : 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory. CME: Possible $1,000 per year reimbursement (must be full-time with board certification). Malpractice : Free liability protection with tail coverage provided. Contract: No Physician Employment Contract and no significant restriction on moonlighting.
