AP/CP Pathologist - GI/LIver Greenville, SC We are seeking an AP/CP Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Pathologist with specialized training or significant experience in GI and liver pathology, including liver transplant cases, to join our team based in Greenville, South Carolina. This full-time opportunity offers the chance to work within a developing transplant program and regional referral center while benefiting from the collaborative environment and resources of the lab's physician-led organization. This position offers a mix of general surgical pathology and GI/liver cases, along with frozen section coverage, clinical pathology responsibilities, and participation in a shared call rotation - with no autopsy requirements. It's an excellent opportunity to contribute to a high-volume, diverse case mix while supporting the growth of a regional liver transplant program in Upstate SC. Highlights: Broad case mixture with emphasis on GI and liver pathology, including liver transplant cases No autopsy requirement Strong clinical collaboration with transplant and GI teams Subspecialty peer consultation and cutting-edge pathology tools May occasionally support regional sites in Sumter and Greenwood, SC About The Practice: High-volume, CAP-accredited hospital laboratory supporting a growing liver transplant program This position serves the largest not-for-profit health system in South Carolina, covering 18 acute and specialty hospitals Diverse mix of inpatient and outpatient specimens with both routine and complex cases Work in a collegial environment with experienced subspecialty pathologists Strong emphasis on interdisciplinary collaboration and clinical excellence Support for professional development and leadership opportunities Key Responsibilities: Sign out general surgical pathology and GI/liver pathology cases, including transplant-related specimens Perform frozen sections, provide CP coverage, and participate in shared call rotation (no autopsy required) Collaborate with clinical colleagues and consult with other subspecialist pathologists Maintain compliance with hospital, laboratory, and medical ethics standards Participate in staff meetings, case conferences, and optional research or academic projects Requirements Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution AP/CP Board Certification or Board Eligibility Fellowship training or substantial experience in GI and liver pathology, including liver transplant pathology Eligible for South Carolina medical license Strong diagnostic skills and commitment to excellent patient care
