Title: Accounts Receivable Accountant

Compensation: $35-40/hr - DOE
About the Role
The Accounts Receivable Accountant will be responsible for the full AR cycle, including cash applications, invoicing, collections, and reconciliations. This role supports accurate financial reporting, ensures timely processing of payments, and partners with internal teams to maintain a smooth billing and receivables process. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working across multiple systems in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform day-to-day cash applications and invoice processing for direct-bill and third-party platform customers.
Support the dunning process, including account revocations and restorations.
Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues related to billing and payment receipts.
Reconcile open invoices across CRM and ERP systems to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Collaborate with the Deal Desk and other internal teams on billing amendments or account updates.
Track and record bad debt and allowances for doubtful accounts.
Assist with collections efforts and maintain accurate documentation of overdue accounts.
Contribute to process improvement initiatives that streamline AR and financial operations.
Maintain and update AR process documentation and training materials.
Participate as a key user in system implementations or enhancements related to billing and receivables.
Perform additional tasks and ad hoc projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience managing full-cycle Accounts Receivable (cash applications, invoicing, collections, reconciliations).
Proficiency with multiple financial systems and platforms.
ERP experience (any system).
Exceptional attention to detail, analytical skills, and communication abilities.
- General Ledger (GL) experience, including reconciliations.
Supervisory experience managing one or more team members.
Knowledge of sales tax or VAT compliance.
Experience participating in system implementations or financial software transitions.
