We are looking for an enthusiastic colleague with a dedicated work ethic and a sharp mind who will be responsible to help assist, organize, and market its rapidly growing portfolio of iconic music rights. This role reports to the Asset Coordinator, VP of Creative Marketing and Asset Manager.

More specifically responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:
  • Assist on delivery, quality control and management of all owned media and marketing assets to both internal and external partners. The assets you will work with are the foundational content that our recorded projects and marketing campaigns are built on. Working closely with Primary Wave's V.P. Creative Marketing & Asset Manager, Campaign Managers, Creatives- you will be immersed into the day-to-day operations ensuring all owned assets, projects and marketing assets get ingested, archived, prepped, and catalogued properly.
  • Responsible for in ingesting, onboarding, organizing assets, including, but not limited to: audio, video, photographs, documents, and physical artifacts.
  • Collect and integrate metadata into digital Smart Vault system across all estate clients in an effort to create stronger searchability and connections between assets. This includes transcribing metadata from media boxes, researching dates, locations, and setlists online, and notating conditions of the physical asset as well as the digital archive of the original source.
  • Work with members of the Assets & Archives team in achieving an entirely digital archive that ties directly to original source physical assets.
  • Inbound and catalog assets from new acquisitions into our archives system ensuring the accuracy of asset delivery from seller
  • Assist in any and all advancements in the physical vault including but not limited to organization techniques, searchability improvements and additional storage solutions.
  • Organize, scan, and ingest legal files, contracts, and correspondence into a searchable database in an effort to support Business Affairs team.
  • Identify key assets and IP to assist with marketing ideas and rights. Creative new projects and packages breathe new life into the copyrights not only from a marketing standpoint but also from a revenue prospective.
  • Ideate and work closely with Asset Manager and marketing team on the development of original music-centric media content (album projects, film, tv, podcasts, etc...)
Physical Activities:
  • This job is performed under general office conditions
  • This job position will be performed on site in our NJ Vault and in our New York Office
  • This job routinely requires physical activity such as bending, walking, lifting 30-50lbs, etc
Qualifications/Skills:
Ideal candidate should possess -
  • Passion for music, recorded music history, pop culture, and an understanding of the music business
  • Background in Archiving preferred but not required
  • Brings scalable approaches and an understanding of physical and digital media
  • Is versed in physical and digital file formats and has experience managing photography and creative libraries within the entertainment space
  • Must be highly organized with a passion for marketing, audio, video photography, and cinematic content
  • Asset management or creative services experience
  • Detail oriented and highly organized
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills
  • Strong time-management skills
  • Manages client assets according to investment preferences and company goals
  • Fosters and maintains positive client relationships
  • Compiles and presents asset management reports to clients, supervisors and senior executives
  • Contributes to marketing team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed
  • Unstoppable work ethic
  • Understanding of the music marketplace
  • In touch with current trends and digital media
  • Familiarity with the nuances of music IP management
  • Ability to identify musical trends in the marketplace and anticipate those which will achieve significant fan bases.
  • Provide timely communication regarding the status of each assets & projects (i.e. alerting business affairs of legal issues, advising senior management of potential project overages or delays)
  • Be a great problem solver - even more so, have the ability to anticipate issues before they arise and adjust accordingly.
  • Understanding of the workflow within a marketing, production, or creative department or company
Education and Experience Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Library & Info Sciences, Music Business or related field
  • Experience in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator
  • Experience in Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint
Wave Position - It would be seismic if you also had:
  • Encyclopedic musical knowledge and interest in recorded music history
  • Creative Marketing Ideas and how to execute
  • Experience with audio and video editing software (Pro Tools, Premiere Pro, Audition)
  • Project management expertise and experience in a process-centric, operational role
  • Archiving and/or Filemaker Experience
