Now Hiring: Electrical Assembler

Reports To: Supervisor of Electrical Department

Company Overview:
Join Life Line Emergency Vehicles, in Sumner, Iowa where precision and craftsmanship drive the creation of top-tier emergency vehicles. We are looking for an experienced Electrical Assembler to take charge of assembling and wiring critical electrical components with accuracy and efficiency. This role requires prior electrical experience—if you have the skills, we want you on our team!

What You’ll Do:

  • Electrical Assembly: Assemble and wire electrical boards; fabricate terminal strips, jumpers, vacuum plates, R.T.B., faders, and power leads.
  • Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders to ensure precise electrical assembly.
  • Tool Operation: Use wire strippers, cutters, crimpers, pliers, drills, grinders, and table saws.
  • Quality Assurance: Inspect finished products, troubleshoot issues, and ensure adherence to strict quality standards.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with Engineering, Parts, and Production teams to meet deadlines.
  • Efficiency Goals: Maintain production schedules while upholding high-quality craftsmanship.
  • Safety and Organization: Follow safety protocols and keep your workspace organized.

What We’re Looking For:

✔️ Electrical experience is a must! Prior work with wiring, schematics, and electrical tools is required.
✔️ Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
✔️ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
✔️ Strong communication and organizational skills.

Experience & Education:

  • Required: Hands-on electrical experience (assembly, wiring, troubleshooting).
  • Preferred: Previous experience with mechanical or electrical tools; familiarity with Life Line products.
  • High school diploma, technical training in a related field, or equivalent experience.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, grip, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, and lift up to 100 lbs.
  • Must have good vision, depth perception, and manual dexterity.
  • Comfortable working indoors with occasional exposure to moving machinery and varying temperatures.

Schedule:

Our 1st shift hours are Monday-Friday, 6 AM – 2:30 PM.

Our 3rd shift hours are Monday-Thursday, 8pm - 6am. First few weeks of training on first shift.
(Some flexibility required for extended hours.)
