Job Description
Electronics Assembler (Contract) Location: Lynchburg, VA Company: System One Start Date: As soon as possible Duration: 3–6 months (potential for extension) Hours: 40 hours per week About the Role System One is seeking an experienced Electronics Assembler to join our team in Lynchburg, VA. In this role, you will assemble electronic, electro-mechanical, or mechanical components according to product specifications. You’ll work under general supervision and contribute to building high-quality systems used across a variety of applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on assembly experience and a strong understanding of technical drawings, schematics, and safe work practices. Key Responsibilities Perform intermediate to complex electrical, electronic, electro-mechanical, or mechanical/material assemblies Assemble systems such as audio, video, robotics, process control, data acquisition, filter fabrication, and mechanical modifications Perform printed circuit board assembly, point-to-point wiring, cable assembly, or filter mold fabrication Set up and operate tools and equipment used in the assembly process Provide guidance and support to junior-level Assemblers as needed Conduct appropriate quality checks to ensure all work meets specifications Handle hazardous materials safely and maintain a clean, compliant work environment Participate in promoting a safe and healthy workplace by following all safety and health policies Occasional travel to nuclear power generation sites may be required Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent required 3–5 years of related assembly experience Skills & Qualifications Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics Understanding of basic electronic symbols and components Skilled in hand tools and basic electronic or mechanical test equipment Proficiency in electronic soldering or operating mechanical tooling Basic computer skills Knowledge of company and industry safety and health policies Key Competencies Initiative, Teamwork, Dependability, Action Orientation, Learning Agility, Drive for Results, Integrity and Trust, Safety Awareness Physical Requirements Ability to remain stationary, walk, kneel, and crouch as needed Operate a computer and communicate effectively within the organization Occasionally lift and move up to 10 pounds System One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé, ALTA IT Services, and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
