Assembly / Production Builder
Location: Comstock Park Pay: $17 Shift: 1st shift
Job Summary
We’re seeking a Production Builder / Assembler to join our team! In this role, you’ll perform basic, hands-on tasks related to building industrial HVAC units. You’ll work with hand tools, assist in assembling components, and help ensure each unit meets our high-quality standards. After training, you’ll begin building smaller HVAC units and develop your skills alongside experienced team members.
We’re seeking a Production Builder / Assembler to join our team! In this role, you’ll perform basic, hands-on tasks related to building industrial HVAC units. You’ll work with hand tools, assist in assembling components, and help ensure each unit meets our high-quality standards. After training, you’ll begin building smaller HVAC units and develop your skills alongside experienced team members.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Build subassemblies using hand tools such as wrenches, hammers, pliers, and drills.
- Install high-temperature padding (cutting with a retractable knife or using a simple spot welder).
- Assist with installation of mechanical components (fans, shafts, dampers, etc.).
- Construct steel boxes that house mechanical subassemblies.
- Operate Hi-Lo equipment and overhead cranes (training provided if needed).
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Communicate and collaborate with other departments to complete tasks efficiently.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures.
- Be available for overtime as needed.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Prior experience in construction, assembly, or working with hand tools preferred. Ability to read blueprints or work from specs is a plus.
Skills & Abilities:
- Comfortable using small hand tools.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Able to climb and descend ladders (up to 10’).
- Work performed primarily while standing.
- Comfortable working in a heated (non–air-conditioned) shop environment.
