Job Summary
- Operates hand and machine tools, including welding and cutting equipment, in order to construct clad assemblies.
- Works at a table on shop floor.
- Operator Trainees work under direct supervisor.
- Technicians report directly to the assembly supervisor.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Follow all safety, environmental, quality and 5S rules, regulations and requirements.
- Read and implement set-up sheets for clad assemblies.
- Perform tasks such as metal cleaning, taping, sawing and hand grinding to assist other assembly techs in construction of clad assemblies.
- Inspect all equipment before use and perform operator maintenance when needed.
- Report any unsafe equipment conditions to Area Lead and Area Manager.
- Monitor and ensure safe work habits and tool use in assigned areas.
- Ability to read and interpret documents and drawings such as safety riles, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals.
- Ability to stand/walk at a workstation for an extended period of time.
- Ability to use hands with continuous repetitive motion while picking up/ gathering materials up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications
- Must Pass ATF background screening
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand and walk for an extended period of time.
