Double E Group is an international market leader in the engineering and manufacturing of web handling, material handling, and converting solutions. Our broad portfolio of products are marketed to the paper, tissue, film and foil converting industries.


Position Summary:

The Assembly/Service Technician is responsible for safely assembling, testing and troubleshooting company products in accordance with routings, work instructions, drawings and specifications. This role will share in-field service duties with the other team members to support our installed base of products.


Key Responsibilities:

· Interpret CAD drawings, instructions and follow established procedures.

· Assemble complex mechanical and electrical assemblies.

· Take appropriate action to repair components and to ensure proper operation of equipment.

· Use a variety of hand and power tools

  • Electrical, pneumatic and /or hydraulic skills a plus
  • Package and load goods for shipping and assists with Shipping as needed
  • Maintain compliance with standards for design, safety & quality
  • Maintain knowledge of products and how they are assembled.
  • Work closely with Senior Assembly Technicians to learn and help streamline the assembly process of our world-class equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in equipment assembly preferred
  • Extensive mechanical aptitude

· Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, including electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.

  • Comfortable with hand tools
  • Willingness to learn
  • strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Attention to detail
  • Valid driver's license
Requirements:

Requirements

  • Must have a working understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Must have a working understanding of electrical circuits and wiring practices.
  • Must have a strong understanding of PLCs, HMI’s and Drives.
  • Must have experience with or general understanding of PLC ladder logic.
  • Excellent customer service skills required.
  • General computer skills required.


Education and Experience

  • Strong ability to comprehend Engineering drawings (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic) and work instructions.
  • Must have a degree in an electrical/electro-mechanical field and/or minimum of 3 years of experience.
  • The ideal candidate will have a background in Allen Bradley controls.
