Job Description
From Lucie is a cozy East Village bakery inspired by Lucie’s childhood on a farm in the South of France. We’re known for our seasonally inspired cakes, decorated with organic flowers, dried fruits, and house-made jams and curds.
We’re seeking a full-time Assistant Bakery Manager to support daily operations and help lead our production team. The ideal candidate has professional cake baking and decorating experience, strong leadership skills, and a genuine love for creating beautiful, seasonal pastries.
Responsibilities
Help oversee and train bakers; maintain consistency and quality
Support daily production and scheduling under the Bakery Manager and ownership
Manage inventory, ordering, and weekly flower-market runs
Ensure DOH compliance and maintain cleanliness and organization
Help foster a positive, inclusive team culture
Requirements
Professional experience baking and decorating cakes (required)
Leadership or management experience in a bakery or production kitchen
Excellent communication and organization skills
Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work efficiently in a small space
Available weekends and holidays
Professional references required

Experience with seasonal menus or decorative presentation styles
