Job Description

Quince & Co. is seeking an Assistant Controller to join our San Francisco-based team.

This role is integral to ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial operations across the Quince & Co. family of restaurants- including Quince, Cotogna, Verjus, Tusk Events, and more. The Assistant Controller will oversee all accounting activities, from daily transaction management to month-end close, financial reporting, and process improvement.

You’ll collaborate closely with our leadership team to deliver timely financial insights, strengthen internal controls, and help guide strategic business decisions. Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and execute weekly and monthly accounting processes and reporting

• Oversee AP/AR, payroll, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance

• Review financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards

• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and analytical reports for leadership

• Support process improvement initiatives and system enhancements

 

What We’re Looking For:

• 3+ years of accounting or finance experience — hospitality experience preferred

• Strong Excel and financial analysis skills; familiarity with R365, POS, and payroll systems

• Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and communication

• A proactive, team-oriented mindset and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred

Salary range: $110,000- $130,000
