The Assistant Director for Academic Planning in Summer Term assumes a lead role in overseeing and managing key administrative responsibilities for the office. Reporting to the Associate Dean of Summer Term, the Assistant Director provides operational oversight for a suite of major annual initiatives related to academic planning, course scheduling, faculty and staff hiring, room scheduling, course registration, student success, and faculty stakeholder management. Primary responsibilities include: coordinating the annual collection of salary and scheduling information from 50 departments across BU; creating the schedule of 700 courses; managing course registration for visiting students; leading the yearly upgrade of the Summer Term website and admissions forms; creating faculty contracts and overseeing weekly payroll for more than 1000 summer employees, including processing hiring paperwork and I-9s; managing all Summer Term enrollment and course assessment data reporting.

Required Skills
Requirements:
- BA / BS Degree w/ 3-5 yrs relevant experience or MA in Business or Data Analytics w/ 1-3 yrs relevant experience
 - Familiarity with database and website maintenance
 - Demonstration of strong written and oral communication skills
 - Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with a high level of detail; excellent organizational skills
 - Commitment to high level of customer service
 - Experience with SIS (esp Campus Solutions) and Payroll Systems
