Job Summary

The Assistant Director of Events and Auxiliary Services at Georgia Southwestern State University plays a key role in supporting the operational, financial, and strategic management of campus auxiliary enterprises. This position helps lead services that enhance student life and campus engagement, including dining services, bookstore operations, vending, mail services, and event/conference operations. The Assistant Director ensures these high-quality services align with the university¿s mission and contribute positively to the student experience and generate auxiliary revenue.

This individual plays a critical role in enhancing campus life, supporting institutional goals, and fostering partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities Required Qualifications Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

  • Ability to problem-solve, manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

  • Proficient with event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to customer service, student success and continuous improvement.

  • Familiarity with university operations, student services, auxiliary enterprise models, risk management, space utilization, and ADA compliance in event settings.

  • Knowledge of State of Georgia, University System of Georgia, and GSW policies and procedures.
