Job Summary:
The Assistant Director of Nursing is accountable and responsible, under the direct supervision of the Medical Nursing Director for the overall coordination and direction of all nursing activities in all areas. Employs organizational strategies in a balanced approach that produces meaningful contributions to each element of the Vision Alignment Matrix. Requires the promotion of and adherence to the organization's established Compliance Program and Standards of Conduct. Other duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing or Administrator.

â—Ensures capital budget is utilized for the cost centers assigned including planning, obtaining quotes, and maintaining budgeted costs.
â—Demonstrates financial liability with effective use of supplies and staff.
â—Ensures infection control procedures and quality measures are followed.
â—Monitors and evaluates Nursing Care on a continuous basis for all assigned departments.
â—Provides leadership and serves as role model for staff.
â—Effectively communicate changes in policy and procedures and other appropriate communication to staff.
â— Participate in department planning, decision making and policy formation.
â— Holds staff accountable to organization mission and vision.
- Required to be on an on call scheduled rotation.
- Maintains open communication with Director of Nursing
- Meets daily with DON to review day to day activates, any issues encountered
- Keeps DON informed of daily staffing
Qualifications:
Education/Skills:
Graduate of a recognized non-online RN program. Master’s degree in nursing preferred.
Work Experience:
A minimum of five years nursing leadership experience preferred. .
Certification/Licensure-DUE UPON HIRE
- Licensed RN able to practice within the State of MS

- Basic Life Support
