Position: Temporary Assistant Food & Beverage Manager (possible temp to hire)

Pay: $35 per hour
About the Role:
Goodkind Hospitality Staffing Agency is seeking a Temporary Assistant Food & Beverage Manager (preferably with Hotel or Fine Dining experience) to support the operations of a luxury hotel’s food and beverage outlets. This position plays a key role in enhancing the guest experience by ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, maintaining brand standards, and supporting the Food & Beverage Manager in achieving financial and service goals.
Responsibilities
- Assist in managing daily operations across all food and beverage outlets.
- Communicate effectively with the Food & Beverage Manager, team members, and other departments.
- Conduct staff performance evaluations, implement corrective actions when necessary, and support team development.
- Create and manage departmental schedules to ensure proper staffing levels based on business needs.
- Oversee guest requests and special needs, including allergies and specialty amenities.
- Coordinate event-specific functions, including menu planning and room configuration.
- Manage vendor relationships, purchase orders, and inventory control.
- Ensure compliance with all food sanitation, health, and safety regulations.
- Handle guest concerns promptly and professionally to maintain high satisfaction levels.
- Participate in leadership meetings (Labor, Budget, etc.) and assist with financial reporting and forecasting.
- Collaborate with other departments as needed, especially during high business volumes.
Qualifications
Essential:
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Proven ability to multitask and remain composed under pressure.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in POS and PMS systems, as well as Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Basic financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and labor management.
- Flexible schedule availability (AM/PM, weekends, holidays).
- Professional, positive, and guest-focused demeanor.
Preferred:
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent vocational training.
- 3–5 years of experience in a similar supervisory or management role.
- Previous hotel or luxury property experience strongly preferred.
- Experience managing a large and/or unionized workforce is a plus.
