Job Description
Reporting directly to the General Manager and the Chef/Owner, the Assistant General Manager will play a key role in upholding the service standards at Provenance and will be a leader of the service team. Duties will include opening and closing procedures, assisting in all areas of service, and staff training and mentorship. Strong beverage knowledge is preferred (wine and/or spirits), but we do employ a Sommelier who will direct much of wine service throughout the evening.
We are open five nights a week (Tuesday through Saturday) for dinner only, serving a 20-25 dish tasting menu rooted in classic French technique with subtle Korean influences woven throughout. The expectation is for the Assistant General Manager to work between 45 and 55 hours per week, for which we will provide a salary commensurate with a candidate's experience. We also offer a health benefits package (health insurance, with dental and vision available), and paid time off during our restaurant's closures (typically a week or so around the winter holidays and two weeks in the summer).
