Assistant Project Manager
Position Overview
A top tier general contractor with a reputation for excellence in negotiated, ground-up construction is hiring Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers in Arlington, VA and Raleigh, NC. If you have experience in commercial and/or multifamily construction and are looking to join a collaborative team that's involved from precon through closeout, this is a chance to grow your career with a builder trusted by leading developers across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Project Manager in planning and executing project tasks and activities
- Monitor project progress and prepare regular status reports for management
- Help manage project budgets and track expenses to ensure financial compliance
- Identify potential risks and issues and support the project manager in developing mitigation strategies
- Support the procurement process by coordinating with vendors and suppliers as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in project management, business administration, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in commercial/multifamily project management or a related role
- Strong understanding of commercial project management practices
- Proficiency in project management software and tools such as Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or similar.
- Strong experience managing project financials and construction documentation processes such as RFIs, change orders, and submittals.
