Assistant Men's Basketball CoachSalary: $4,000 annuallyClassification: Part-Time (Contracted)Reports to: Head Men's Basketball Coach
Olympic College is recruiting to fill a part-time Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach position. This position reports to the Head Basketball Coach and the Athletic Director. This position is part-time and will begin immediately upon selection. The basketball season begins approximately at the beginning of September and approximately ends at the end of March the following year.. Must be available to attend practices, games, and tournaments on weekday evenings and weekends.
Essential Functions

Assisting the head coach in all phases of an intercollegiate basketball program;Recruiting within conference guidelines;Teaching advanced basketball skills;Assisting with the monitoring of individual’s academic progress;Overseeing transportation of the team;Participate in fundraising activities;Encouraging and demonstrating good sportsmanship;Processing of appropriate institutional and conference paperwork;Performs other work as required.Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Current First Aid/CPR certification or the ability to obtain one prior to employment
  • Valid unrestricted Washington State Driver’s License.
  • Demonstrated experience as a basketball coach, with experience at the high school, club, or college level preferred.
  • Demonstrated understanding of intercollegiate basketball rules and regulations.

    Terms of EmploymentThis position has a stipend of $4,000 and is not eligible for benefits upon hire.


    Working Conditions

    This position requires punctuality and regular attendance. This position is in a typical office environment, but may require the employee to move across campus to other buildings. Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position. May be required to lift and carry equipment and supplies of up to 30 pounds.

    Conditions of Employment
