Job Summary
The Richard A. Henson School of Science and Technology at Salisbury University invites applications from a diverse group of qualified applicants for the position of Assistant Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences. This is a 10-month, full-time tenure-track position that begins in August of 2026.
The successful applicant will be expected to teach 12 contact hours per semester of classes including introductory biology courses and advanced courses in molecular biology and/or plant biology and contribute to the General Biology curriculum. Faculty will involve undergraduate and/or master’s level students in publication-worthy research, provide service to the Department, School, University, and community, and serve as an academic advisor and professional mentor to Biology students.
Required/Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in a relevant area of Biological Sciences or closely related science and must provide evidence of potential for excellence in teaching and research. Applicants with expertise in Molecular Biology or Plant Physiology will be considered. Applicants must have effective written and oral communication skills. Post-doctoral research and/or teaching experience is preferred.
