Job Title: Assistant Professor of Environmental Engineering Posting Number: 20110597 Pay Rate: Commensurate with experience Position Type: Faculty Key Responsibilities : Juniata College invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. The ideal candidate will have expertise and scholarly interests in Civil or Environmental Engineering. These areas should include (but not be limited to) environmental water quality, water/wastewater treatment, modeling wastewater treatment and water distribution systems, biosolids treatment, bioremediation, and aquatic chemistry. The position requires a strong commitment to excellence in teaching at the undergraduate level, integrating service and research, and scholarship focused on the institution’s educational mission. The position will be housed in the Department of Civil Effective oral and written communication with a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service; and Professional engineering registration in the U.S. or the ability to become licensed within five years. Supervision Required/Given: The Assistant Professor of Environmental Engineering reports to the department chair. Preferred Qualifications: Prior teaching experience at the college-level; Consulting or industrial experience; and Experience with professional organizations such as ABET, ASCE, and ASEE is highly desirable.
