Job Description
Assistant Professor of Industrial/Organizational Psychology
The Department of Psychology at Lamar University invites applications for a full-time, Tenure-Track Assistant Professor of Industrial/Organizational Psychology, to begin in the Fall 2026 semester. Applicants should have a PhD in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or have earned such a degree prior to the position start date.
Responsibilities include:
- Teaching a variety of courses at the undergraduate (e.g., General Psychology, I/O psychology, Introduction to Statistics, Research Methods, Experimental Psychology) and master's level (e.g., Organizational Behavior, Leadership, Performance Management, Recruitment & Selection)
- Maintaining an active program of research that (ideally) involves undergraduate and graduate students
- Mentoring undergraduate and graduate student research
- Chairing, and serving on, graduate student thesis committees
- Actively engaging in service to the department, college, and university.
