Job Description
A growing energy infrastructure firm is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the construction and installation of a large-scale power generation facility in southern New Jersey. This position offers the flexibility of primarily remote work, with periodic onsite or office visits as needed to oversee field activities and coordinate with project teams. This is an ideal opportunity for a technically skilled professional with a background in engineering or construction who’s ready to take on more responsibility in managing field operations, contractors, and project coordination. Responsibilities ● Support day-to-day construction oversight and coordinate with contractors and vendors. ● Monitor progress on civil, mechanical, and electrical activities to ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence. ● Maintain detailed project documentation, reports, and photo logs. ● Assist in scheduling, vendor coordination, and technical review of drawings and submittals. ● Participate in safety meetings, inspections, and commissioning readiness reviews. Qualifications ● Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering (or related field). ● 4+ years of experience in construction, commissioning, or power generation projects. ● Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and field coordination. ● Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities. ● OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.
