Job Type: Full-time or Part-time.
Hours: 20–30 hours per week, probably more for the Holiday Season!
Pay: From $16.50/hour + tips in a high-volume environment

At Coast Range Restaurant, Servers Assistants are not simply table clearers or bussers— they are integral members of our service team who help create a seamless dining experience. We look for individuals who embody selfless hospitality: meticulous attention to detail, genuine care, and commitment to guest needs.
Server Assistants here:
- Understanding excellence in the smallest tasks, from the placement of silverware to the polish on a glass, communicates care.
- Support both servers, bartenders, and management to deliver service that exceeds guest expectations.
- Take pride in maintaining an organized, clean, and hygge (Danish culture of coziness, contentment, and well-being) atmosphere for every guest and every team member.
- Work with a sense of urgency, focused energy, and determination to exceed guest needs.
- Serve as “pinch hitters” at critical times supporting management as they triage the flow of service, food and team needs.
- Have a can do attitude and look to develop to be able to cross train and ultimately fill shifts in other positions. Embracing Kaizen, the spirit of continual improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with servers, managers, and bartenders (unless you are under 18) to ensure prompt clearing and resetting of tables with a sense of urgency and grace.
- Maintaining the entire premises inside and out to an excellent standard, there is no such thing as too clean and too orderly to a guest.
- Maintain the dining room and service stations at the highest standard of cleanliness and readiness.
- Anticipate guest needs by monitoring tables for water refills, cleanliness, and comfort before being asked.
- Assist in running food, ensuring presentation and timing meet our quality standards.
- Support ALL team members during peak service with proactive communication and teamwork.
- Serve as a host role, when needed, by Greeting, Seating and completing all Open Table steps, a critical marketing tool.
Duties Include but are not limited to:
- Sweeping inside and outside
- Sweep the sidewalk, remove cigarettes from tree dirt
- Sweep outside mats
- Sweep the back parking lot
- Mopping floors
- Clean bathrooms, (replace toilet paper, back up toilet paper, toilet seat covers)
- Clean windows
- Clean outside of meat case
- Clean outside glass partition
- Clean the heaters
- Polish water pitchers
- Buss tables
- Pre-bus tables
- Polish glasses
- Polish silverware
- Reset tables
- Dust spiderwebs
- Water service at the table
- Keep water pitchers full of ice water
- Fill up wells in bar with ice
- Fill up juices/syrups in bar
- Clean counter tops
- Help bartenders restock bar, over 18 only
- Maintain general cleanliness
- Run food
- Set up outside tables
- Set dining room for dinner service
- Maintain to-go containers are stocked and organized
- Stamp bags large and small
Maintain Qualifications:
- Flexible schedule availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must meet California state requirements for food handler certification.
