Assistant Vice President for AmeriHome Mortgage Company LLC in Thousand Oaks, CA Job Description: Develop the In the Moneyness Algorithm for the Retail Lending Division. Develop a Lead Scoring Model (machine learning) for the Retail Lending Division and a Roll analysis Model for the Treasury team. Interact with senior leadership (CEO, CIO, and heads of different departments) to provide timely updates on the progress of model development and new research being done. Automate reporting and data loading tasks (daily PnL reconnaissance report). Maintain the price validation engine (Best Effort loans). Responsible for pricing the various products that flow through AmeriHome and maintaining the AmeriHome mortgage Web Calculator. Updating the pricing engine (ExecutionStack) when new products (new types of loans) are added to our system. Maintain, update, and research to enhance the Fallout Model, Funding Predictor, and the HedgeCost Model. Create documentation and develop ongoing monitoring plans for the Fallout Model, HedgeCost Model, and the Funding Predictor. Job Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Financial Engineering or related field. Requires 2 years of experience. Must have experience in each of the following skills: Creating, maintaining and delivering quantitative processes including data mining, predictive modeling and other complex data analysis using SQL, Python and Gurobi; Maintaining and updating pricing engines using C#; Creating and delivering monthly and quarterly analytical reports including valuation, risk, stress testing and model update using VBA and SQL; Residential mortgage domain; Mortgage loan fundamentals (types of mortgages, amortization, prepayment risk, delinquency) and Mortgage Backed Securities and their structure (knowledge about securitization process, tranches and waterfall structure); Concepts pertaining to interest rate sensitivity (convexity, duration and yield curves) and prepayment models; Applying concepts to maintain and enhance existing financial models, building pricing algorithms in accordance with GSE requirements and analyzing risk and hedging strategies being used.
