Clinical Asst/Assoc/Professor(open rank)-Neuropsychologist, USC Brain Health Network University of South Carolina Department: SOMC Research and Graduate Education Advertised Salary Range: Salary commensurate with experience Part/Full Time: Full Time About UofSC Diversity Statement Advertised Job Summary The Neuropsychologist position will be a blend of direct patient care as well as participating as part of a multi-disciplinary provider team in the USC Brain Health Network. This position plays a pivotal role in advancing our research efforts related to brain health and language recovery. The Neuropsychologist will be expected to contribute to both research and teaching activities within the department.Duties:In addition to providing some direct patient care/counseling services, the Neuropsychologist will provide direct care and consultation for patients referred to the USC Brain Health Network. They will review clinical assessment data and make recommendations regarding patient care and care planning. The Neuropsychologist will collaborate with Primary Care Physicians and Behavioral Neurologists to ensure that USC Brain Health Network patients are receiving optimal and coordinated care, upholding the highest clinical standards. The Neuropsychologist will conduct innovative research in the field of neuropsychology with a focus on brain health and language recovery, utilizing neuroimaging tools and AI methodologies to drive research outcomes. Additionally, the Neuropsychologist will collaborate with colleagues within the department and across disciplines to foster a multidisciplinary approach to research. Required Education and Experience · Ph.D. in Neuropsychology or a related field.· Board Certification in Clinical Neuropsychology. Preferred Qualifications · Previous teaching experience at the university level.· Experience in securing research grants.· Familiarity with interdisciplinary research collaborations.· Strong research background with a focus on brain health and language recovery.· Proficiency in neuroimaging techniques.· Proven track record of publications in peer-reviewed journals.· Effective communication and teaching skills.· Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented academic environment.
