At Sunset West Legal Group, we are dedicated to advocating for individuals who have been injured due to the negligence of others. Our team is committed to providing client-centered representation with integrity, professionalism, and compassion. We are seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with strong personal injury experience to join our growing team and handle an active caseload from inception through resolution.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage all phases of litigation in personal injury matters, including case strategy, discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediation, and trial preparation.
* Draft pleadings, discovery requests/responses, motions, and other litigation documents.
* Conduct and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
* Appear in court for hearings, conferences, and trials.
* Collaborate with paralegals, case managers, and senior attorneys to ensure timely case progression.
* Maintain proactive communication with clients to provide updates, explain case developments, and answer questions.
* Negotiate settlements effectively with opposing counsel, insurance companies, and mediators.
* Uphold firm values by keeping the client’s best interest at the center of all work.
Qualifications
* Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
* Active membership in the California State Bar in good standing.
* Minimum 3–5 years of litigation experience in personal injury law (trial experience preferred).
* Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
* Proven ability to handle a high-volume caseload with independence and efficiency.
* Excellent negotiation, courtroom advocacy, and interpersonal communication skills.
* Commitment to client service and team collaboration.
