Role Summary

We are seeking a driven and highly organized Associate Attorney to join our Revenue Operations team. This role is responsible for representing our clients financial interests and negotiating with attorneys and insurance adjusters across an assigned portfolio of cases. To be successful in this role, you must be organized, have persuasive communication skills, and be a self-starter. You will be representing the top companies in the country, and your efforts will help combat the growing costs of healthcare that employees and employers are faced with year over year.



Responsibilities



  • Manage and oversee a large portfolio of reimbursement cases.
  • Negotiate a favorable resolution and settlement for our clients financial lien.
  • Perform legal research for the company and apply expertise in the areas of subrogation, healthcare law, insurance law, ERISA, Medicare, litigation, and personal injury.
  • Provide oversight to paralegal/case manager teams.
  • Be aware of depositions, mediations, trial dates, etc. on cases and obtain updates.
  • Review plan language and consult with companies on necessary changes to maximize operational goals.
  • Engage deeply with ERISA laws and implement those laws when negotiating.
  • Draft legal documents, such as confidentiality documents or amendments, where applicable.
  • Analyze medical claims data to identify accurate recoverable total.
  • Ensure the accuracy and quality of case status information for client reporting.
  • Understand case actions and their impact on clients' financial recovery.
  • Build strong communication and trust with other parties on each case.

Qualifications:



  • Juris Doctor Degree from an approved ABA law school
  • Licensed to practice in at least one state
  • An ability to multitask, prioritize, and balance varied tasks on a daily basis
  • An intellectually curious personality and a demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong business acumen and a proactive, problem-solving mindset
