Symetra has an exciting opportunity to join our Retirement Back Office team as an Associate Customer Operations Representative!
About the role
The Annuity Transfer team is looking for an Associate Customer Operations Representative to join our team. This position offers excellent opportunities for career growth and is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can maintain a high level of accuracy, and has a customer-centric focus. In this role, you will support our active deferred annuity products by reviewing and processing both financial and non-financial transactions. Your responsibilities will include tasks such as processing address changes, verifying and updating cost basis information, and reviewing outgoing transfer paperwork.
What you'll do in this role
- Maintain and develop product and procedure knowledge and understanding
- Ability to handle a variety of transactions and work types
- Process financial and non-financial work in administrative systems
- Work closely with the other team members as well as with other departments such as Claims, New Business, and Customer Service Representatives
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in writing, on the phone, and in person
- Understand department policies and procedures as they pertain to processing transactions
- Complete other projects as assigned
- Ability to use resources in order to make effective decisions

Compensation
Hourly Salary Range: $22.00- $29.98 plus eligibility for annual bonus program

- High School diploma or equivalent experience required
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective computer and software skills
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Quality conflict and resolution skills
- Proven ability to follow procedures
